We are making progress!
I have been here in Boston over a week now, sleeping at kind people's homes, and spending a lot of time on my own. It's been completely bizarre to have HOURS on my hands with nothing to do. I've finished a few books, worked on some sewing projects and spent many hours at the hospital, which is where I am now living, starting today. It is a real change from being at home with my crazy kids running around, but honestly I'd give anything to be able to do just that right now. I miss them and my sweet hubby! Maddox is doing well. The fluid under his skin has basically gone away, which is wonderful! He still has fluid in his abdomen, but they will remove that right before they do the c-section to make it easier for his lungs once he's born. His heart is slowly making changes and improvements. I am thrilled to be at this point in our adventure. I am FULL of amniotic fluid which is making me very uncomfortable, and allowing Maddox plenty of room to swim. He is very active now, which I have enjoyed overall. It's almost like he is a different baby. The doctors are pleased with how well he is doing, and we are planning on making it to 36 weeks. I don't think they want to go beyond that however, which sounds good to me. I'm just hoping my ribs can hold together for two more weeks.
More to come later!
I'm so glad things are going well! I will call you this week to see if you're up for a visit in the future :) Love you and we're still praying!
ReplyDeleteI just spoke with Peter today, and he and his sister both wanted you to know what a pleasure it was to have you in their home. They want you to know that the door is always open should you need a place to stay!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good post! I'm glad things are going good. Lots of love for you and Maddox!
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible progress!!! I'm so glad and relieved for you guys. I wish I could see you! Can you post more photos or what??
ReplyDeleteThat is all wonderful news. I am so excited for you guys. Try to enjoy this down time. During all my times in the hospital I never fully enjoyed the time to meditate and ponder. I wish sometimes that I could go back. We will keep praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that everything is going well. That's so fabulous! It would definitely be a little strange without the kiddos for such a long time! It's probably such a good thing for you at this time though so you can concentrate on that little guy. I pray that all will continue to go so well. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteSo very glad to hear that Maddox is doing better. Sorry about all the amniotic fluid! Sounds very uncomfortable. I'm sure you do miss your kids and hubby, but at least try to appreciate the silence because it'll be a LONG time before you have it again. ;) Two more weeks! :)
